How to convert and transfer video to Sony PSP (for Mac Users)
PSP is the abbreviation of PlayStation Portable. It is a multi-function handheld series developed by SONY Corporation of Japan. It has many entertainment functions such as games, music, video and Internet access.
PSP has powerful multimedia features, and many users prefer to watch videos directly on this device. It can be stored on the PSP Memory Stick Duo card through the PC conversion video format. The supported formats are MP4, MP4-AVC (H.264), H-AVC (480P, H.264), which are officially supported formats, suffixes. Both are MP4.
However, if your video cannot be played in the PSP, you may need to convert it first. This article will show you a few simple steps to get a PSP playable video.
Step 1:We need a converter
Download and install AMS iMedia Converter
Step 2 : Import videos
Launch the converter, import the videos we need to convert. Use “Add Files” button or just drag and drop the videos from hard disk to program.
Step 3 : Select PSP video format
Select MPEG-4 AVC Movie in Profile button menu list “video > MPEG-4 AVC Movie” at the bottom of the program.
Step 4 : Convert video to hard disk
Click “convert” to export videos. When the convert has finished, the program will pop up the “Finder”, display and select the converted MP4 files. Great!
Step 5 : Transfer video to PSP
Connect PSP with your computer, via PSP or card reader or memory stick adaptor as you like, then drag the converted file to PSP/Video.
Step 6 : Play video on PSP
Once the video is transferred successfully, go to menu VIDEO > Memory Stick, we can find and play the video on PSP now!
Note:
Note the name of the converted mp4 files, if there are already such files in the PSP, please change them to another name.
